Editorial Policy

African Journal of Literature and Humanities is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed e-journal which publishes high quality and original unpublished research works every four month: January, April, July and October. The journal working areas are literature, culture, linguistics, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, art, history and criminology. The AFJOLIH welcomes works in French or English language. It aims at fostering collaboration between African universities. As such, the AFJOLIH is an occasion for lecturers and scientists to share their knowledge and their know-how. It also promotes dialogue, sharing, understanding and unity among African lecturers and researchers.

 

EDITORIAL POLICY

The AFJOLIH is an international scientific journal. In this respect, the texts we accept for publication are selected by the editorial board with regard to the originality and the interest these texts represent and their scientific rigor. Every text submits to the journal, articles@afjolih.com for publication must obey the following editorial norms:

 

Paper Size

Volume: 10 to 15 pages, typed with single spacing, font 12 for the body of the text and short quotations, font 10 for long quotations, Times New Roman, quotations references must be incorporated in the text. Example: Chinua Achebe (1958, p. 29), no reference in the foot-notes but very few comments are accepted.


Volume: 10 à 15 pages; interligne 1.5, police 12 pour le corps du texte et les courtes citations; police 11 pour les longues citations, Times New Roman, les références des citations doivent être incorporées dans le texte. Exemple: Guy Rocher (1968, p. 29), pas de référence en foot-notes à l’exception de quelques commentaires.

 

Structure of papers

The papers we accept for publication should have:

-A title written in capital letters and in bold. This title must not be too long;

-An abstract of 8 lines with 6 key-words written in French and English

– An introduction: it must have a problematic, a method and a structure.

– A body: the articulations of the body of the text must be titled as followed:

 

1-For the Title of the first division

1-1-For the title of the first subdivision

1-2– For the title of the second subdivision

2– For the title of the second division

2-1– For the title of the first subdivision

2-2– For the title of the second subdivision

3– For the title of the third division (if the article has three parts)

 

-A conclusion: It must be short and concise. It must highlight the originality of the results of the research.

References

The different elements of the references are organized as followed:

Author (last name and first name), year of publication, title of the book, place of publication, House of publication. Examples:

-Nimako Annor (2001), Mutilated, Tema-Ghana, Ronna Publishers.

-Head Bessie (1971), Maru, London, Heinemann

-Thiong’o,wa Ngǔgῐ (1967), A Grain of Wheat, London, Heinemann.


Un TITRE en caractère d’imprimerie et en gras. Le titre ne doit pas être trop long ;

– Un Résumé (Abstract) de 8 lignes en français et anglais, en interligne simple, suivi de 6 Mots clés (Key-words)

– Une Introduction: elle doit avoir une problématique, une méthode et une structure.

– Un Développement: les articulations du développement du texte doivent-être titrées comme suit :

 

1-Pour le Titre de la première section

1-1-Pour le Titre de la première sous-section

1-2- Pour le Titre de la deuxième sous-section

2- Pour le Titre de la deuxième section

2-1-Pour le Titre de la première sous-section

2-2- Pour le Titre de la deuxième sous-section

3- Pour le Titre de la troisième section (si l’auteur de l’article le souhaite)

 

-Une Conclusion : elle doit être courte, précise et concise en mettant en relief l’authenticité des résultats de la recherche.

Bibliographie (Mentionner uniquement les auteurs cités)

Les divers éléments d’une référence bibliographique sont présentés comme suit : Nom et Prénom (s) de l’auteur, Année de publication, Zone titre, Lieu de publication, Zone Editeur. Exemples:
